Well, the time has finally arrived. After a hard fought 14 month process, the Cape May Firefighters Local 3495, and the City of Cape May have reached an equitable solution on a new labor deal. Firstly, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the members of our community (both locally and beyond) who showed their unwavering support. Without your support, we would not be in the position we are in today. So again, Thank You!

While this deal is certainly a step in the right direction, there remains work to be accomplished in the coming years. We are confident that those who support us in the community, city council, and city administration will continue to show their support and desires to provide fair living wages and departmental growth.

Again, and we can’t emphasize this enough, THANK YOU to all of our supporters. Just as you depend on us in times of need, we depended on you… and you delivered beyond expectations. Thank you to the members of council who supported this deal as you recognized the importance of our services and our desires to provide them beyond the standard. We are grateful the city administration recognized and made the ever so important first steps in rectifying a decade long problem. We look forward to continued success for years to come.
